About Vivaly

I’m Torné, a mum living in Bondi. Before my daughter Lea was born, I worked in a crèche in Bondi and as a nanny. Our family is 11,000 km away in South Africa, so when Lea arrived I became the mum looking for care: Facebook groups, Messenger, WhatsApp to interview caregivers, a government register for the check, a calendar for remembering, a bank transfer for payment.

There’s no single place to say “this is the childcare I need”, so every parent becomes their own childcare coordinator. Childcare has never had a proper home. Vivaly is that place.

How Vivaly works

Parents say what childcare they need. Vivaly finds what fits. Parents choose, book and pay through Vivaly. That can be a date night, the same days every week, or your own long-term nanny: you choose her yourself and meet her on a paid 2-hour trial before you hire her.

What we check

Every caregiver’s Working with Children Check is checked against the NSW register by a person before she appears. Her profile shows exactly what else has been checked, and reviews only come from real bookings.

For caregivers

A caregiver keeps her full rate and is paid the day after care. Every booking and review stays with her, so her work builds a record she owns.

Built by a mum

I built Vivaly myself, piece by piece, in the quiet pockets of early motherhood. Some days I only had five minutes between naps; some days I somehow carved out two hours. I work on it full-time, seven days a week.
